This English text is for convenience. The Dutch version is legally authoritative. Algemene voorwaarden

In short

  • A contract is formed when you accept a written quote and pay a 30% deposit.
  • Free reschedule or cancel up to 7 days before the session; later rules apply in article 7.
  • Mixing includes 2 revision rounds; we keep project files for 12 months.
  • Dutch law applies; consumers may use the EU ODR platform. Data handling: privacy policy.

1. Scope

These terms apply to studio services provided by Morigliolink B.V. (Morigliolink) at Overtoom 682, 1054 JT Amsterdam, trade register 75843421, VAT NL818710214B01, phone 020 737 0842, email [email protected]. They complement the legal notice and override your purchasing terms unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Services include Vocal and spoken-word recording, Band and live recording, Mixing, Mastering, Podcast and interview recording and Music for picture as described on services and the related service pages. Only an accepted quote plus deposit creates a contract; a contact enquiry is an invitation to treat.

2. Definitions

TermMeaning
ClientThe party accepting a quote, consumer or business.
ConsumerA natural person acting outside trade, business or profession.
Business clientA company or professional (label, agency, producer).
QuoteWritten document stating service, date, duration, price with and without VAT, deposit and any special terms.
SessionThe reserved studio slot or agreed remote work period.
Deposit30% of the quoted amount including VAT, due on confirmation.
Business dayMonday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the Netherlands.

3. Pre-contract information

Before you book, the site and quote show main features of the service, price, performance date, our identity and contact details, complaints process and — for consumers — withdrawal rights where applicable, in line with Dutch consumer information rules. Site rates include 21 % VAT; net amounts are on the quote.

4. Quote and booking

We usually respond within 1 business day to requests via contact, email or phone with a quote. A quote is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. The slot is reserved after written acceptance (email is enough) and receipt of the 30% deposit.

For distance contracts we send durable confirmation (email) with essential details. We may refuse a request for legitimate reasons, such as unsafe conditions, more than 6 people in the live room or legal incompatibility.

5. Prices and extras

The accepted quote price prevails. Guide prices on the site, such as €195 per song for Mixing or €85 for Mastering, may be adjusted in the quote to your project.

Extra studio time beyond the booked block is charged only with your approval, at the hourly rate on the quote or current services rate. Travel for on-location work is quoted separately. VAT is charged at 21 %.

6. Deposit and payment

The 30% deposit is an advance on the total, not a forfeited lump sum. Pay by bank transfer; card in the studio if stated on the quote.

Consumers pay the balance on the session day or when remote work (mix/master) is delivered. Business clients pay within 14 days of invoice unless the quote says otherwise. Late payment may lead to suspension of work and statutory interest.

Until full payment we may withhold final masters; session files are kept as in article 11.

7. Reschedule and cancellation by you

TimingEffect
More than 7 days beforeFree reschedule or cancel; on cancel we refund the deposit within 14 days.
Within 7 daysDeposit remains due unless we resell the slot; otherwise it may be applied once to a new date within three months.
No-show or late arrivalSession ends at the scheduled time; extra time only if available and at extra rates.

Send requests to [email protected] or 020 737 0842 and confirm in writing. Statutory withdrawal rights remain unaffected where they apply.

8. Withdrawal (consumers)

If a consumer contracts at a distance (email, phone, form), a 14-day cooling-off period applies from contract date unless an exception applies. If you want the session to start within that period, ask explicitly; if you withdraw after partial performance you pay a proportionate amount.

The right ends when the service is fully performed within the period after your express prior consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right once fully performed. Custom music or sound production may also be excluded when execution starts immediately with your consent.

Withdraw in writing via [email protected] or post to Overtoom 682, 1054 JT Amsterdam. Refunds within 14 days via the same payment method unless agreed otherwise.

Model withdrawal form (optional)

To Morigliolink B.V., Overtoom 682, 1054 JT Amsterdam, [email protected]:

I hereby withdraw from the contract for the following service:

  • Ordered on / received on:
  • Consumer name:
  • Address:
  • Date:
  • Signature (paper only):

9. Cancellation by us

If illness, equipment failure, safety issues or other events beyond reasonable control force cancellation, we notify you early, offer a replacement date and, if none works, refund all payments within 14 days. We do not swap engineers without discussion except in force majeure.

10. Studio conduct

Hours: Mon–Fri 10–20, Sat 10–18; visits by appointment. The studio is on Overtoom in Oud-West. Tram 1 (Overtoom stop) and tram 7 (Marnixplein stop) are a short walk away. From Amsterdam Zuid station, allow about 15 minutes on tram 1 towards Centraal. Bike racks are in front of the entrance; car parking is limited — use Q-Park Byzantium (Overtoom) or on-street spaces outside blue-zone hours.. No smoking or vaping. Treat gear carefully; damage from intent or gross negligence is charged to you. Your own instruments and laptops remain your risk.

Guests from age 16 need written consent from the parent or guardian who books and pays; under 16 a responsible adult must attend. Up to 6 musicians in the live room. We may stop a session for unsafe behaviour; the booked block remains due.

We use moderate monitor levels and provide hearing protection. See vocal warm-up and planning a band session.

11. Files, delivery and archive

Unless the quote says otherwise we deliver common formats (e.g. 24-bit WAV) by download link or your media. Remote work starts after complete usable files arrive; delivery times on the site are in business days.

We keep session and project files for 12 months after last activity, then delete unless longer storage is agreed in writing. Maintain your own backups. See delivering stems and mastering loudness.

12. Revisions

Mixing includes 2 revision rounds as on mixing. One round is a single bundled note list. Extra rounds or a new artistic direction after approval are quoted separately. Mastering usually includes one revision round unless the quote states otherwise.

13. Intellectual property

Your works. Compositions, lyrics and performances stay yours. You warrant that samples, covers and materials are cleared; collective management is your responsibility.

Recordings. When you initiate and pay for recording, master rights pass to you after full payment where the law allows. We claim no copyright in your music.

Custom score or jingles. Music for picture may use separate licences on the quote. Multi-platform exploitation needs a written agreement.

Voice and AI. We do not use your recordings to train AI models and do not create voice clones without written consent.

References. We mention your name or project only with written permission.

14. Liability

We perform services with professional studio care given your input. Artistic taste is not guaranteed. Liability is limited to direct damage from attributable failure, except intent, wilful recklessness or personal injury.

For business clients total liability per assignment, except intent or wilful recklessness, is capped at that invoice amount including VAT; indirect loss such as missed revenue is excluded. Mandatory consumer rights remain.

Site information limits: disclaimer.

15. Personal data

We process personal data under our privacy policy. If you supply guests’ data as a business client, the data processing agreement applies. The contact form uses FormSubmit; see legal notice. Cookie choices are stored 182 days under mrgl_consent_v1 via .

16. Complaints and disputes

Send complaints to [email protected] or post to Overtoom 682, 1054 JT Amsterdam. We acknowledge within 1 business days and aim to resolve within a reasonable time.

Consumers may bring cases before the competent court. The European Commission provides an ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We do not automatically join a dispute board; we prefer direct resolution.

17. Governing law

Dutch law governs these terms. EU consumers keep mandatory rights in their country of residence. Business disputes fall under the courts in Amsterdam unless mandatory law says otherwise.

18. Changes and version

We may update these terms; the version on the site on your quote acceptance date applies to that contract. If languages differ, Dutch prevails. Invalid clauses leave the rest intact. Last update: 14 October 2026; effective from 14 October 2026. See also cookie policy and accessibility statement.
