Podcast and interview recording is for creators, editorial teams and companies who want an episode, interview series or internal talk recorded without fighting room noise or bad Bluetooth headsets at home. Producer Sophie Bakker leads many of these sessions in our lounge corner on Overtoom.

We record two to four speakers at once, deliver separate tracks or an assembled mix, and can help with basic editing on request. For music intros or jingles, link to music for picture or a short booth session via vocal recording.

Process

Pick a format
Share speaker count, target length and where audio should go (Spotify, RSS, video). We advise hourly rate versus the session bundle.

Set up
Pop filters, headphones and levels are set per voice. We test a minute of small talk before the real recording.

Record
Breaks for water, room for retakes. With video we align with your filmmaker on picture and sound.

Export
Separate WAV tracks, a stereo mixdown or a format your host accepts. Editing can be booked separately at the editing rate.

Which projects fit?

Interview shows, audio newsletters, internal knowledge sharing, panel talks and brand storytelling — as long as speech is central. No live audience; we focus on controlled studio quality in Amsterdam.

Band or live instruments? See band recording in the live room. Voice-over only for ads? Vocal recording in the booth may be enough with a shorter turnaround.

Space and comfort

Our podcast corner sits in a treated area inside the studio, not a echoey meeting room. Panels and table treatment keep voices close and reduce wall reflections. Coffee, water and space for notes or a laptop without fan noise on the mic.

Up to four speakers at once fits our layout; larger panels need planning or split sessions. The studio is on Overtoom in Oud-West. Tram 1 (Overtoom stop) and tram 7 (Marnixplein stop) are a short walk away. From Amsterdam Zuid station, allow about 15 minutes on tram 1 towards Centraal. Bike racks are in front of the entrance; car parking is limited — use Q-Park Byzantium (Overtoom) or on-street spaces outside blue-zone hours. Hours by appointment: Mon–Fri 10–20, Sat 10–18.

Prep for hosts and guests

Send an outline or question list beforehand so we know segment length. Guests do not need studio experience: we explain when to stay close to the mic and when silence helps editing.

Avoid rustling clothes and jewellery at the mic
Phones on airplane mode, notifications off on laptops
Bring intro music as WAV or send it ahead
Social visuals are yours; we deliver audio

Minimum age in the studio: 16, unless agreed in writing with a parent or guardian.

Editing and post

The session yields raw to cleanly stopped takes. To cut “um”, long silences or reorder segments, book editing per hour at the editing rate. We do not do full sound design or music production in that hour — we tighten podcast flow.

Stories heavy on music and sfx often fit music for picture better. See terms and conditions: editing has its own agreement, not the 2 music-mix revision rounds.

Export to your host

We know common workflows for Anchor, Transistor, Buzzsprout, Spotify for Podcasters and RSS on your own host. State your loudness target (many hosts accept −16 to −14 LUFS for stereo speech). We deliver WAV or the format your platform needs.

Separate tracks per speaker help video sync or later re-edits. Files go by download link or SSD on site. Archive 12 months unless you ask for earlier deletion — see privacy policy.

The session bundle covers two hours with two guests; extra hours at the hourly rate. Net business editing: €45.45 per hour. 30% deposit on long series; free cancellation up to 7 days ahead.

Remote and hybrid

If a guest cannot be in Amsterdam, they can join on a clean line we record alongside in-room voices. Hybrid needs extra test minutes — plan them in your slot. We do not offer remote-only recording; our room quality is part of the service.

You may film video in the same corner; align camera and light with your crew beforehand. Timecode or slate only if agreed in advance.

What we do not cover

No legal advice on content, no transcription, no automatic translation and no publishing to your podcast feed — that stays with you or your marketer. We do not record phone calls without consent from all parties.

How many speakers at once?

Two to four in our standard layout. More than four needs custom planning or split sessions — e-mail [email protected] with your format.

Do I have to book editing upfront?

No. Record first and add editing hours later at €55 per hour incl. VAT.

Can I extend the session bundle?

Yes. €275 covers two hours with two guests; extra time bills at €98.

Do you provide video?

We focus on audio. You may bring a video crew; coordinate via contact beforehand.
